HOW WE TRAIN

"Structured strength, conditioning & mobility for those who want to be athletic forever." ~ Comptrain

CURRENT STRENGTH TRAINING CYCLE:

Every few weeks we cycle onto a new strength programme. Here is what you can look forward to over the next few weeks.
FORTIFY (10 Weeks: 27 OCT - 28 DEC 2025)
STAMINA (8 Weeks: 5 JAN - 28 FEB 2026)
Our program is thoughtfully designed by leading experts to provide you with a comprehensive workout experience that will encourage consistent engagement. This balanced approach supports long-term athleticism and well-being.

What We Do Here

We help people get strong, move well, and build real fitness that lasts. Our training is designed to make you more capable—not just in the gym, but in your everyday life.

We focus on the things that matter most when it comes to developing fitness.
  • Smart, sustainable strength training
  • Conditioning that builds you up without burning you out.
  • Mobility that keeps your body moving independently and pain-free.
You won’t find gimmicks here. Just real training that works because it’s built on timeless principles, not trends.

What a Week of Training Looks Like - A Simple Prescription

Our program follows a consistent rhythm that builds strength, endurance, and resilience across the week.
  • 5 Days of Conditioning: Conditioning sessions vary in format. Some short and intense, others longer and more sustained. On strength days, you’ll typically see a shorter conditioning piece paired with the lift for a complete session.
  • 3 Days of Strength Training: Foundational lifts that develop absolute and functional strength. You’ll squat, hinge, press, and pull using simple, effective progressions.
  • 1 Long & Slow Piece: Once a week, we go long and aerobic. Think: 30–40+ minutes of steady effort to build your engine and support recovery.
  • Mobility Built In: Every class includes intentional mobility and prep work, so you move better both in and out of the gym.
  • Optional Accessory or Extra Work: Available for those who want to build muscle, improve specific skills, or add a little more volume to support personal goals.

What a Class Experience Feels Like

Every class is coached from start to finish.
Our 60-minute sessions are designed to get the most out of your time—without rushing, guessing, or wasting effort.
Here’s what a typical class includes:
  • Welcome & Brief: A quick overview of the day’s focus—so you know the why behind the work before you start.
  • Guided Warm-Up: We’ll prep your joints, activate key muscle groups, and get you sweaty and ready to move with purpose.
  • Movement Prep: You’re not expected to know how to do everything. This part of class is where we teach the day’s movements, offer scaling options, and help you pick the right variation so the workout works for you.
  • Strength and/or Conditioning Focus: We usually start with a strength piece and follow with conditioning or combine both for a full-body session. No matter the format, you’ll be coached the whole way and supported by the people around you.
  • Cooldown or Guided Recovery: When time allows, we wrap with light recovery work, breathing, or targeted mobility to help your body bounce back stronger.

Throughout every section, your coach will provide movement cues, keep the class flowing, and help tailor the work to your current level—so you train with confidence and leave better than you came in.

What We Train (And What We Don’t)

We focus on movements that are:
  • Functional and transferable
  • Scalable to all fitness levels
  • Safe to repeat and progress
  • Simple enough to perform well, consistently

You’ll see things like:
  • Deadlifts, squats, presses, and carries
  • Step-ups, lunges, bike, row, run, burpees
  • Holds, planks, jump rope, throws
  • Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medballs, boxes…

What you won’t see:  (unless you chose to follow our competitive track)
  • Kipping pull-ups or ring muscle-ups
  • Handstand movements
  • High-load Olympic lifting
  • Movements with high joint stress
  • Programming that requires elite-level skill to make progress.

We keep it simple. We want you to train hard and train for a long, healthy life.

Our Training Philosophy

We believe that:
Progress needs a plan: Random workouts don’t create lasting results. Structured training does.
Intensity should be earned, not assumed:  We train hard—but we train with purpose, not just to hit the floor gasping.
Strength is the foundation:  It’s the key to performance, longevity, confidence, and resilience.
Fitness should serve your life—not dominate it: Whether you're here for health, performance, or personal growth—your training should support it all.

What Makes Us Different
  • Our program is structured but adaptable
  • Our classes are coached, not just supervised
  • Our culture is about progress, not just performance
  • Our results come from consistency, not extremes

If You’re New, Here’s What You Should Know
  • You don’t need to be “in shape” to start
  • Every workout is scalable—we meet you where you are
  • We’ll teach you how to move well before we ever ask you to move fast
  • You’ll be surrounded by people who care more about effort than ego
  • And we’ll support you every step of the way

Why It Costs More Than a Typical Gym
You're not just paying for access to equipment. You're investing in:
  • A proven, progressive training system
  • Expert coaching in every class
  • Personalized modifications and real guidance
  • A culture built on community and support, not intimidation
  • Programming that’s built to serve you, not impress Instagram

Commercial gyms charge you to rent space. We coach you, guide you, and support your progress every single day. This is an investment in your long-term health, capability, and confidence. We aim to help you believe that you're worth that investment.

In Summary

This is a gym for people who want to train for something bigger than today’s workout. You’ll get stronger. You’ll move better. You’ll build real fitness. And most importantly—you’ll build a body (and mind) that’s ready for whatever life throws your way.
We don’t just train hard. We train complete.
